Tennessee podiatrist Nathan Lucas convicted for $4M foot bath fraud scheme defrauding Medicare and TennCare.

Tennessee podiatrist Nathan Lucas has been convicted by a federal jury for a $4M foot bath fraud scheme defrauding Medicare and TennCare. Between 2018 and 2021, Lucas' pharmacies submitted nearly $4M in claims for foot bath medications, receiving around $3M in reimbursement. The jury found Lucas guilty of five counts of health care fraud, and he faces up to 10 years in prison on each count.
