Massachusetts' highest court reinstated the first-degree murder conviction of Julie Corey, who killed her pregnant friend, Darlene Haynes, and took her unborn baby. In 2014, Corey was found guilty in Worcester Superior Court, but in 2019, the conviction was vacated due to insufficient evidence. The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court reversed the lower court's decision and reinstated Corey's first-degree murder conviction.
