AAIB finds irregular maintenance, uncertified parts, and unauthorized personnel in Feb 13 Kapar air crash.

The Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) discovered "irregular maintenance activities" in its investigation of the Feb 13 air crash in Kapar, Selangor. The evidence includes uncertified or non-conforming aircraft parts on the BK 160 Gabriel light aircraft, and unauthorised maintenance personnel performing installations. The Transport Ministry's preliminary report noted the aircraft exceeded the maximum weight limit, and suspected carbon monoxide poisoning inside the cabin.
