Indonesia's transport ministry investigates Batik Air for pilots falling asleep during flight, causing navigation errors.

Indonesia's transport ministry is opening an investigation into local airline Batik Air after two of its pilots fell asleep for 28 minutes during a flight from Southeast Sulawesi to Jakarta on January 25. The incident, which resulted in a series of navigation errors, did not harm the 153 passengers and four flight attendants on board the Airbus A320. The transport ministry "strongly reprimands" Batik Air over the incident and calls for airlines to pay more attention to their crew's rest time.
