The FAA conducted an audit of Boeing's 737 MAX production process following a January incident involving a panel detaching from an Alaska Airlines jet. Out of 89 tests, Boeing failed 33, and supplier Spirit AeroSystems, responsible for manufacturing the fuselage for the MAX, passed six out of 13 audits but failed the remainder. The FAA and Boeing are implementing immediate changes and developing a plan to strengthen safety and quality.
