FAA finds non-compliance in Boeing's 737 Max production during a six-week audit, triggering a 90-day plan to address quality control issues.
The FAA has found multiple instances of non-compliance in Boeing's manufacturing process control, parts handling and storage, and product control during a six-week audit of the company's 737 Max production. The audit was triggered by a door plug blowout on an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max 9 flight. Boeing has been given 90 days to create a plan of action to address its quality control issues, as the FAA continues its ongoing investigation and scrutiny of the company.
