DA Ziccarelli ruled that police use of deadly force against Dontae Warner during a drug investigation was justified, as he used his vehicle as a deadly weapon.
Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli ruled that the use of deadly force against Dontae Warner, 30, during a September narcotics investigation in North Huntingdon motel was justified. Warner was shot and killed by police, after driving his 4,000-pound vehicle in a "deliberate and reckless manner" towards officers, striking two parked cars. Ziccarelli considered the vehicle as a deadly weapon, supporting the officers' use of force.
