Delaware's attorney general's office cleared New Castle County Police Corporal Corey Nicholson for using deadly force against a suspected drug dealer, Andrew Edelemann, who drove towards him during an arrest attempt. The officer's use of deadly force was deemed justified and reasonable in response to the threat posed by Edelemann's actions. Edelemann's family and a passenger in his vehicle filed a lawsuit against Nicholson and the county.
