Ian Connell, a drug addict, has been jailed for life with a minimum of 19 years after murdering friend Donald Patience, 45, in a "fit of rage" when he refused to give him more money for drugs. The victim's body was found wrapped in a duvet at the bottom of his stairs in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, on August 22 last year. Connell was caught by police with the victim's white labradoodle, which he had stolen.
