65-year-old Ukrainian man, Ivan Volkov, appeared in court charged in connection with an alleged fatal assault on 69-year-old Azerbaijani man, Shamil Nabiev, in Dundrum, Co Tipperary. Volkov, who was in court with crutches, was charged with one count of assault causing harm to Nabiev and one count of affray at the same location. The victim, Nabiev, died a few days after the incident, prompting a judge to order an independent post-mortem examination.
