US Energy Secretary Granholm confirms the US is on track to meet the 50% electric vehicle target by 2030 despite slowing growth in demand. The Biden administration set the target for half of all new vehicle sales to be electric by 2030. Despite signs of waning demand, Granholm projects a similar uptake in EVs in 2024 compared to 2023, when green vehicles expanded their share in the US auto market to 7.6%.
