Micron Technology has started mass production of its high-bandwidth memory (HBM) semiconductors for use in Nvidia's latest AI chip, HBM3E. The HBM3E will consume 30% less power than rival offerings and is set to be integrated into Nvidia's next-generation H200 graphic processing units (GPUs), expected to ship in Q2 2024. This development is expected to boost Micron's share price and support the growing demand for AI applications.
