Zimbabwe has increased its power generation with the national grid currently producing at least 1,430MW. The country is generating 1,382MW and deriving 48MW from Independent Power Producers (IPP), bringing the cumulative total to 1,430MW. Hwange Thermal Power Station is producing 824MW, Kariba 558MW, and 48MW from IPPs. The Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) stated that Hwange is producing 824MW, Kariba 558MW, nothing from small thermals, and 48MW from IPPs, bringing the total to 1,430MW.
