Zimbabwe's power utility intensified power cuts after a fault disrupted the Hwange power station, causing nationwide load shedding. The national grid experienced a significant disturbance, leading to reduced inflows at Lake Kariba due to the El Niño weather phenomenon. Zimbabwe and neighboring Zambia have seen curtailed power supply as a result. ZESA Holdings engineers are working to restore service as quickly as possible.
