University Hospital Limerick in Ireland has reached a record overcrowding level with 150 patients waiting for admission to the hospital today. Assistant Director of Industrial Relations at the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, Mary Fogarty, stated that the hospital has admitted 2,573 patients without a bed since the beginning of January 2024, leading to overcrowded conditions and a strained nursing staff.
