India's palm oil imports dropped to a three-month low in January due to negative CPO margins and increased soyoil purchases, causing total edible oil imports to decline 9.2%.

India's palm oil imports reached a three-month low in January due to negative margins in crude palm oil (CPO) and increased soyoil purchases. January palm oil imports fell 12% to 787,000 metric tons, and crude palm oil imports decreased 16% to 541,000 tons. Soyoil imports increased by 24% to 190,000 tons last month. The decrease in palm and sunflower oil imports (down 19% to 211,000 tons) has led to India's total edible oil imports falling 9.2% to 1.19 million tons in January.
