India's oilmeals exports dropped 35% in September, primarily due to decreased shipments of soyabean, rapeseed, and castor seed meals.

India's oilmeals exports fell 35% in September to about 214,000 tonnes, down from 330,000 tonnes last year, primarily due to decreased shipments of soyabean, rapeseed, and castor seed meals. For April-September 2024, total exports dropped 9% to 2.08 million tonnes. Notably, soyabean meal exports rose to 908,000 tonnes, driven by higher imports from the UAE, Iran, and France, while Bangladesh, South Korea, and Thailand remain key importers of rapeseed meal.
