Westinghouse and EDF are assessing nuclear reactor options for Slovenia's Krško-II power plant expansion.

Westinghouse Electric is evaluating the feasibility of deploying an AP1000 reactor at Slovenia's proposed Krško-II nuclear power plant, located next to the current Krško plant. France's EDF is also conducting a feasibility study. Slovenia is exploring nuclear options to boost power capacity, avoiding Chinese or Russian technology, and has begun looking into small modular reactors as an alternative.
