A new report from the city of Winnipeg suggests increasing water and sewer rates by more than 20%.
Winnipeg's city bureaucrats recommend increasing water and sewer rates by over 20% over the next four years. St. Vital Coun. Brian Mayes is concerned that the report may not be enough due to three multi-million dollar sewer infrastructure projects. The water and waste agenda also predicts a family of four using 50 cubic meters of water per quarter to increase from $1,260 in 2023 to $1,540 by 2027.
