Winnipeg has launched tenders for water and wastewater infrastructure in its CentrePort South project, covering 500 acres. The project aims to create hundreds of jobs, generate $80M in annual tax revenue, and develop a hub for growth and innovation. Focusing on incentivizing housing developments and investing in low-carbon industries, it will create opportunities for the next generation of workers in Manitoba. Construction is set to begin in 2025, with Phase 1A infrastructure receiving over $74M in combined investment from the city and province.
