NSW expects 500,000 more adults out of work by 2051 due to aging, impacting Sydney suburbs.

The New South Wales government projects that the number of adults not in the workforce will grow by 500,000 over 25 years due to an aging population. In about 40 Sydney suburbs, employment rates are expected to stagnate or decline, despite a 27% population increase by 2051. Areas like Collaroy-Collaroy Plateau, Green Valley, and North Narrabeen-Warriewood are forecast to lose over 500 workers.
