China sets ambitious logistics efficiency goals, aiming to lower logistics costs to 13.5% of GDP by 2027.

China reported record-high logistics efficiency in 2024, with the ratio of logistics costs to GDP dropping to 14.1%, the lowest since 2006. To further reduce this ratio to 13.5% by 2027, China plans to enhance railway freight networks and inland waterway transport systems, and establish international logistics hubs.
