Rural fire crews contained a diesel spill from an overturned tanker truck in Knoxville with minimal environmental impact.

Rural Metro Fire responded to an overturned tanker truck on Huckleberry Springs Road in East Knoxville on Monday, which spilled diesel fuel and hydraulic fluid into a nearby creek. Crews set up an earth dam and used hazardous materials equipment to control the spill. The road remained closed as they worked to pump the diesel into another tanker. No injuries were reported, and environmental impact was minimal.
