Three hikers rescued from Mount Seymour after straying off marked trail into steep terrain.

Three hikers on Mount Seymour were rescued after following footprints off the marked trail and into steep terrain. The North Shore Rescue team used GPS from the hikers' phones and ropes to bring them down safely. The hikers lacked proper equipment like headlamps, food, and boots. Search Manager Stan Sovdat advised sticking to marked trails and carrying satellite communication devices for emergencies where cell coverage is poor.
