North Somerset Council to reverse "wiggly lines" road scheme in Clevedon, costing extra £425,000.

The North Somerset Council will reverse the controversial "wiggly lines" road scheme in Clevedon's seafront starting in mid-February, responding to public criticism. The £1m project, implemented in 2022, will cost an additional £425,000 to revert changes like removing sea-facing parking and a two-way cycle path. The restoration, expected to take 12 weeks, will also include a standard roundabout and improved road signage. Temporary road closures and bus route diversions are planned.
