A man sues Vancouver School Board and ex-teacher for alleged abuse from 1987 to 1989, seeking damages for PTSD and more.

A man from British Columbia is suing the Vancouver School Board and his former teacher, John 'Jack' Turner, for alleged abuse from 1987 to 1989 at Queen Alexandra Elementary School. The plaintiff, C.R., alleges Turner sexually, physically, and psychologically abused him, confining him to a "cage" for speaking Spanish. C.R. also accuses the board and other teachers of negligence for not intervening. The lawsuit seeks damages for his inability to pursue higher education and earn money due to post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and feelings of worthlessness. The school board has declined to comment.
