Family of injured second-grader plans to sue Maryland school district over bathroom incident.

The family of a second-grade student at Barnhart Elementary School in Maryland plans to sue the school district after their child was injured in a bathroom incident. The child, reportedly hung by a fourth-grader, suffered severe bruising. The family claims they were not given accurate information by the school. The Charles County Sheriff's Office found no evidence of a hate crime or criminal intent. Due to the fourth-grader's age, they cannot be criminally charged, but the school will address any code of conduct violations.
