Singapore's URA offers developers extra space if they preserve the Golden Mile Tower's iconic cinema block.

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) in Singapore is offering developers bonus floor area if they preserve the iconic cinema block in the Golden Mile Tower during a redevelopment project. This 18-storey office tower in Beach Road can be expanded by 25%, to 48,871.2 square meters, if the cinema block is conserved. The URA's move aims to balance new development with preserving a valued public space.
