Pakistan considers replacing government houses in Islamabad with high-rises to boost revenue.

The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in Pakistan proposes replacing old government houses in Islamabad's G-6/1 area with high-rise buildings. This plan, backed by a study from the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), could free up 77 acres of land and generate about Rs55 billion in revenue. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is reviewing the proposal.
