Telangana rolls out new Rs 15,000/acre farmer aid scheme, up from Rs 10,000, post-Sankranti.

Telangana's government plans to launch the Rythu Bharosa scheme, replacing the Rythu Bandhu program, to provide financial aid of Rs 15,000 per acre annually to all farmers. This increase from the previous Rs 10,000 per acre aims to support actively cultivated lands. The scheme, set to start after the Sankranti festival, will credit funds into farmers' bank accounts. The Cabinet sub-committee will ensure eligibility, focusing on genuine farmers and cultivated lands, to prevent misuse.
