Stephen Fry knighted for contributions to mental health, environmental, and charity causes.

Stephen Fry, a British actor and mental health advocate, has been knighted by King Charles III for his services to mental health awareness, the environment, and charity. Fry, who has been open about his battle with bipolar disorder, has led mental health charity Mind since 2011 and has worked with the Terence Higgins Trust since 1991 to raise funds for people with HIV and AIDS. The New Year Honours list also recognized other celebrities and athletes, including Gareth Southgate, Sarah Lancashire, and Carey Mulligan, for their contributions to various fields.
