NY Attorney General finds 2023 police shooting of Nathan Wood justified, no charges.

The New York Attorney General's Office has determined that the 2023 fatal shooting of Nathan Wood by a Johnstown police officer was justified. Wood, 28, attacked a man with a hammer and refused to drop the weapon when ordered to do so. He struck a police officer during the confrontation, leading the officer to use deadly force in self-defense. No criminal charges will be filed against the officer.
