Malaysia introduces new cybersecurity guidelines to protect digital communications and consumer data.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has released new guidelines called INSG to enhance cybersecurity and resilience within the country's communications and multimedia industry. Though not mandatory, the guidelines aim to help service providers manage cyber risks, mitigate data breaches, and protect consumers online. MCMC consulted various stakeholders during the guidelines' development to ensure best practices. The move is seen as a significant step in securing Malaysia's digital environment.
