Malaysia faces a shortfall of 12,000 cybersecurity personnel, as revealed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The nation aims to have 25,000 workers in the cybersecurity field by 2025. To address this issue, Anwar launched the Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (CCoE) in collaboration with BlackBerry. The CCoE is aimed at fortifying cybersecurity and ensuring the country's data sovereignty, while forging stronger partnerships between the public and private sectors.
