James Gunn confirms minimal additional filming for the Superman reboot, set for release in July 2025.

James Gunn, director of the upcoming Superman reboot for DC Studios, clarified that there will be only a day and a half of additional filming, known as "pickup shots," to enhance the movie. This is much less than initially reported. Scheduled for release on July 11, 2025, the film will explore Superman's dual heritage and upbringing. Gunn aims to avoid extensive reshoots, focusing instead on building a connected universe akin to Star Wars. The movie has received positive feedback from a select screening.
