Texas investigates over 100 teachers in a cheating scandal involving falsified certification tests.

The Texas Education Agency is investigating over 100 teachers suspected of participating in a cheating scandal involving falsified teacher certification tests. The scheme, allegedly run by five individuals including a basketball coach from Houston, involved paying proxies to take certification exams. Thirty-eight teachers are from the Houston area, and 49 are from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The TEA is reviewing information and expects to take action against educators involved. Houston ISD has relieved 15 teachers of their duties pending the investigation's outcome.
