Maine's infrastructure improves to a C rating, but over $2 billion annually is needed for upgrades.

Maine's infrastructure received a C rating in the latest report from the American Society of Civil Engineers, an improvement from a C-minus four years ago. Out of 16 categories, aviation scored highest with a B, followed by rail and port infrastructure with B-minuses. The report recommends improving public safety, climate resilience, and funding, estimating over $2 billion annually is needed for upgrades, including renewable energy infrastructure.
