Maine ranks #8 in the top 10 greenest states in the US, according to WalletHub's list released ahead of Earth Day. The ranking is based on green buildings per capita and the share of energy consumption from renewable sources. The US experienced 28 weather and climate disasters causing almost $93bn in damages, with some events climate-related and others resulting from human activity.
