China launches labs for archaeology, linguistics, and an institute for studying rare languages.

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) launched two key laboratories focusing on archaeological sciences and cultural heritage protection, and linguistics, respectively. These labs aim to conduct interdisciplinary research using advanced technologies. Additionally, a new institute under the University of CASS was established to develop experts in rare and endangered studies, including Manchu and Turkic studies.
