Beijing's Natural History Museum gets massive expansion, set to open in 2029.

The Natural History Museum of China in Beijing has been approved to build a new site, scheduled to start trial operations in October 2029. The new location, covering over 193,800 square meters, is a significant expansion from the current 23,000 square meters and aims to increase annual visitors from 1.8 million to 5 to 7 million. The museum plans to use the additional space to offer more science education activities for children and young students.
