North Carolina Supreme Court race is tight, with Griffin leading Riggs by about 3,400 votes.

The North Carolina Supreme Court race between Democrat Allison Riggs and Republican Jefferson Griffin has narrowed, with Griffin leading by about 3,400 votes out of over 5.5 million cast. Most counties have completed their tallies from the Nov. 5 election, and a recount could be possible if the margin stays within 10,000 votes. The State Board of Elections will certify results on Nov. 26. In legislative races, Republicans are unlikely to maintain their veto-proof majority in the General Assembly.
