Bryn Hughes and Paul Bone receive the Elizabeth Emblem for their slain officer daughters' sacrifices.

Bryn Hughes and Paul Bone, fathers of murdered police officers Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bone, are the first recipients of the Elizabeth Emblem, a new award recognizing public servants killed in the line of duty. The emblem, created following their campaign, is the civilian equivalent of the Elizabeth Cross. It features a rosemary wreath and honors the sacrifices of police, firefighters, and other public workers. King Charles III will present the awards later this year.
