The Elizabeth Emblem will be awarded to public service next-of-kin who died in service, similar to the Elizabeth Cross.
The Elizabeth Emblem, a new national form of recognition, will be awarded to the next of kin of police officers, firefighters, and other public servants who died in the line of duty. The civilian equivalent of the Elizabeth Cross, which recognizes UK armed forces members who died in action or as terrorist attacks, the Elizabeth Emblem is designed with a rosemary wreath surrounding the Tudor Crown. The award will be conferred by His Majesty The King.
