Louise McGrath, former CEO of the Wales Council for Deaf People, received a two-year suspended prison sentence for stealing £25,000 from the charity. From January 2019 to August 2022, she forged signatures and made unauthorized payments to herself. Her fraudulent activities, revealed through a trustee's inquiry, harmed the charity financially and affected staff morale. McGrath was also ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work and a 20-day rehabilitation program.
