In Malaysia, the use of Body Worn Cameras (BWCs) among Customs officers has resulted in a 38.46% decrease in misconduct complaints since their introduction in August 2023. The initiative has improved transparency and accountability, leading to a 40% reduction in integrity-related complaints. Currently piloted in five locations, the program aims to expand to all frontline officers, enhancing public trust and revenue collection by over 21%.
