Police Scotland signs 3-year contract with Motorola Solutions for 10,500 body-worn cameras for officers, following a recommendation by former Lord Advocate Dame Elish Angiolini's review of policing complaints in 2020. Body-worn video will enhance public confidence, officer and public safety, and improve court evidence quality, benefiting victims, witnesses, and police officers. The rollout will likely occur on a phased basis and is a priority for Chief Constable Jo Farrell.
