The Crown prosecution has downgraded the murder charge against Arthur Wayne Penner, a suspect in a roadside shooting near Calgary in August, from first-degree to second-degree murder. His co-suspect, Elijah Blake Strawberry, will also face second-degree murder charges. The two are linked to the fatal shooting of Colin Hough and the wounding of another man during a robbery. They will be tried together, with their next court date set for October 17.
