A 17-year-old from Cottondale, Alabama, died in a vehicle accident on Sunday morning. The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Alabama Highway 216, about three miles east of Tuscaloosa, when the teenager's pickup truck veered off the road, hitting an iron sign and then a tree. Despite being taken to a hospital, the youth succumbed to injuries. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the incident.
