A helicopter, operated by Provine Helicopters, crashed near Lexington, Nebraska, while spraying herbicide for vegetation control. The pilot was injured and taken to Lexington Regional Hospital. The helicopter struck power lines owned by Dawson Public Power, causing a power outage for around 1,000 customers and prompting a two-hour closure of Interstate 80. The FAA and NTSB have been notified, and an investigation is underway.
