On September 19, Jebrell Conley, 36, was shot and killed by police in West Haven, Connecticut, during an attempted arrest. Conley, who had an outstanding warrant for robbery, fired a shot at officers while they tried to box in his vehicle at a car wash. In response, three officers returned fire, striking him. Conley was pronounced dead at a hospital. The officers are on paid leave as investigations by the Connecticut Office of the Inspector General and the police department proceed.
